Amed Bay

This bay is situated at the eastern tip of Bali, to dive in this bay is more convenient from a small outrigger boat provided by local fishermen, the reef ridges spurs out into the bay and the current from Lombok strait can pick up making it difficult swimming back to the bay. In the bay lies a small Japanese freighter ship, 12 meters long sits at 6 to 12 meters water.

The history behind this ship was unknown. Black corals, colourful soft corals and Gorgonians have grown well on this ship and attract variety of reef fishes to its shelter. Bommies at 10 meters on the reef slopes are covered with gorgeous bushy Gorgonians and soft corals, good numbers of reef fishes, then the reef runs away down the slope out of the bay over 30 meters deep.

Tepekong

Gili Tepekong is located not far from Amuk Bay and is a single island exposed to current coming from the North, making it a site exclusively for certified and experienced divers.

If the current and conditions permit, you pass through a small cave and come out the other side onto a magnificent vertical wall. Once you turn around and arrive back to the coral reef, you’ll be amazed by its excellent health and beauty, and the sheer quantity of fish. There is even the possibility to see some pelagics such as black and white tip reef sharks, barracuda, stingrays, and sometimes even the jaw-dropping Mola Mola (Sunfish), particularly from July to October.

Padang Bay

To dive here we start descending from the buoy close to the ferry dock; the channel runs further east to the hook of Tanjung Silayukti. At the beginning of the dive the reef is not interesting, much more interesting around the hook of Tanjung Silayukti with scattered boulder rocks, bommies, colourful hard corals, soft corals, number of Crinoids and a variety of tropical reef fishes. Turtles are frequently seen on this steeply slope reef that runs to 30 meters deep, the current is sometimes unpredictable changing its strength and direction that pushes into deep water. Don’t let us sucked into blue water and always ascend safely from the shallow reef of Tanjung Silayukti so the boat skipper can easily provide the pick up service by the end of the diving. Water temperature is frequently fallen roughly 26 degrees C.
